FAQ – Good Trouble Labs
Q. Does this event cost to attend?
A. No, these Labs are free to attend, this is made possible through funding from Arts Council England.
Q. How long does the application take to fill in?
A. The application takes approximately 5 – 10 minutes.
Q. Is there a criteria for applying to the Labs?
A. We ask within the application to let us know more about your experience.
Please tell as much as you can about your creative experience. Participants will be drawn from across the region from a range of disciplines to include, writing for theatre, developers, producers, page and screen, film, dance & music, museums, and heritage, spoken word and design.
Q. Where will the event be held?
A. If in person Labs will be held in Sheffield City Centre between 10am – 4pm. 5 - 10 minutes from Sheffield Train Station and near City Centre car parking. If the Lab is online the session will be held on Zoom online 7pm - 8.30pm.
Q. Do I need to prepare anything for the workshop if successful?
A. Vanitas Arts will send instruction about the details of the workshop should you be successful.
Q. Will provisions and lunch be provided?
A. Drinks will be provided and there are shops and cafes nearby where you can buy lunch and snacks.
Q. Can I spread the word about this event?
A. Absolutely. Vanitas Arts encourage you to spread the word. Please share the link to the Good Trouble Labs through your networks.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Writers - We ask within the application to let us know more about your writing experience of writing story scripts for screen, theatre and audio drama, short stories, comic strips and docudrama. Please tell us as much as you can about your creative writing experience. This is a writing workshop for writers interested in developing their practice in immersive and digital storytelling.
Dancers - We ask within the application to let us know more about your professional dance/physical theatre movement experience. Please tell as much as you can about your dance/ physical theatre movement experience. This is a Dance/ Physical Theatre movement workshop for Dance and Movement Professionals interested in developing their practice in immersive and digital storytelling.
Creatives with Ideas - We ask within the application to let us know more about your creative experience. Participants will be drawn from across the region from a range of disciplines to include, writing for theatre, developers, producers, page and screen, film, dance & music, museums, and heritage, spoken word and design. Please tell as much as you can about your creative experience. This is an ideas workshop for creatives interested in developing their ideas and practice in immersive and digital storytelling.
